The Lyons Community Foundation is eager to reconnect with our friends and neighbors at community events such as the Sandstone Concert Series and the Hootenanny. We have really missed seeing everyone come together these past two years! Save the Date: Sunday, August 29th from 3-8pm Thanks to River Bend, LEAF and LCF are planning a community event which promises to provide good old-fashioned FUN! This family-friendly event/fundraiser will have all sorts of wonderful activities such as live music, live dance performances, a KidSpace, a cornhole tournament, a silent auction, and hopefully, a rubber ducky race. Entrance to this community event is FREE! Parking is limited and will cost $5 per vehicle. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Come one, come all:) ![]() The Scholarship Fund: Thank you for your contributions! Thanks to all of you who donated to the LCF scholarship fund or to the LCF General Gift Fund, six Lyons area graduating seniors received a total of $7,500 in scholarships to further their education. Below is Eva Lennert who graduated from Niwot HS. ![]() Community Support Grant Cycle opens August 1st Applications for Community Support Grants will be available online starting August 1st and are due September 11, 2021. These grants are available to local non-profit organizations only once per year and must be applied for at this time. Electronic submissions are required; granting information and applications will be available at lyonscf.org, starting August 1st. Over the lifetime of the Community Support Grants program, LCF has awarded nearly half a million dollars in grant awards. This year, $35,000 will be made available to deserving recipients. If you are new to Lyons or would like to get involved in the community, we welcome community members to apply to be on the Grants Review Committee. Commitment is two evenings, Sept 16th and Sept 29th. Applications to serve on the Grants Review Committee will available at lyonscf.org, starting August 1st and must be submitted by September 4, 2021. Please contact committee chair, Ella Levy with any questions at grants@lyonscf.org. 2020 Community Support Grants: Your donations at work! The first ever Artisan market, organized by the Town of Lyons, was a project funded by an LCF Community Support Grant. It was quite a success! ![]() Sandstone Concert Series: July 1st-August 12th The Lyons Community Foundation is proud to partner with the Town of Lyons for the 7th year in a row (2020 was cancelled) to present the Sandstone Concert Series. We look forward to seeing you on Thursdays at 6:30pm. We will be serving popcorn and refreshments under the blue tent.
